I chose to partner with the College Funding Coach because of its impact on each family I work with.

Through personal experience, I understand the struggle of college funding and the hard work, dedication, and sacrifice parents make to send their kids to college. The College Funding Coach can help these parents find efficient ways to fund college, allowing each family to find schools that fit better academically, socially, and financially.

A Little More About Rawlings

Background: Rawlings always knew he wanted to be a part of the financial advising industry. He grew up watching his father develop deep relationships with families and help them take control of their finances. Financial talks were dinner table conversations for as long as Rawlings can remember. When he began his career in 2020, it was a no-brainer for Rawlings to partner with his father, Russ Cumbea, an industry veteran who has served and advised Richmond families for 35 years.

Accomplishments:  Rising Leader recognition each year of service.

His greatest accomplishment, however, is becoming a husband and father. Rawlings has a one-year-old son, Russell, with his wife, Kylie.

The College Funding Coach hits close to home for Rawlings because of his son. His work to develop the most efficient financial plan for his son’s education has made him more effective in sharing college funding strategies with other families.

Community Involvement: Rawlings’ team takes pride in community involvement. Each quarter, they set aside time to give back to the Richmond community. Organizations they have worked with include Feed More, Ronald McDonald House, and The Doorways.

Personal: In his free time, Rawlings loves spending time outdoors. In the winter, he enjoys training his three dogs for bird hunting. During the summer, he spends most weekends on the golf course or on the boat (fishing).
