Why The College Funding Coach?

College funding is personal to me because I understand firsthand the challenge parents face in balancing the cost of education with other important financial goals. As a father of two elementary-school daughters, I have many of the same questions and concerns as the families I serve.

Through The College Funding Coach®, I have the opportunity to help families better understand the financial decisions surrounding college and prepare for those costs as part of their broader financial plan. My goal is to help parents approach college funding thoughtfully, so they can support their children’s educational goals while remaining mindful of the other financial priorities that matter to their families.

A Little More About Jeff

Background

Jeff began his career with Deloitte and PricewaterhouseCoopers before serving as a Finance Manager for a Fortune 100 technology company. His background in accounting and corporate finance provided a strong foundation in financial analysis, planning, and decision-making.

Jeff later brought that knowledge and experience into personal wealth management, where he found purpose and passion in helping individuals and families navigate important financial decisions. Today, he serves clients through Principled Wealth Management.

Education

Major in Accounting, Louisiana State University

Community Involvement

Jeff is actively involved in the St. Louis community through volunteer leadership and service. He serves on the Planned Giving Committee of Gene Slay’s Boys & Girls Club of St. Louis and the Investment & Finance Committee at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church & School. He is also a member of the Estate Planning Council of St. Louis.

When He’s Not Working

Jeff grew up in both St. Louis, Missouri, and outside New Orleans, Louisiana. He returned to St. Louis after college and enjoys spending time with his family and staying active outdoors. As a father of two elementary-school daughters, Jeff also has a personal connection to the college planning conversations facing the families he serves.

Speaker Introduction

Jeff Bone is a CFP and CPA who brings a strong background in accounting, corporate finance, and personal wealth management to his work with families. He began his career with Deloitte and PricewaterhouseCoopers and later served as a Finance Manager for a Fortune 100 technology company before transitioning into personal wealth management.

As a father of two elementary-school daughters, Jeff also understands personally the questions parents face when preparing for the cost of college while balancing retirement and other important financial priorities. He is actively involved in the St. Louis community and brings both professional experience and a parent’s perspective to today’s conversation about planning and paying for college.
