After working with 1\,311 schools and 232\,345 parents over the last 22 years\, we’ve found that the three biggest reasons counselors seek our help are: \n1) They’re frustrated when families haven’t planned how they’ll afford college\, and it’s the students who feel heartbroken. It’s tough being the one to console them and find new options. \n2) They feel unappreciated when families hit unexpected financial barriers.
