Please join as  Sallie Mae financial aid experts provide you with an overview of the value and cost of a higher education, a basic understanding of credit, information on various types of financial aid programs, and a look at both federal and private loan programs.  Included will be tips on the cost of borrowing and how to borrow smartly.  A Q&A session will follow.

Presenters:

Thalassa Naylor:  Thalassa Naylor is a Business Development Manager for Sallie Mae with over 35 years of experience in Financial Aid and Student Lending.  She joined Sallie Mae in 2003.  She is an active member of the National, Western and California Associations of Student Financial Aid Administrators and is currently serving as the Training Chair for the California association.  She has her undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado and an MBA from California State University. Northridge.  She resides in Sacramento, California.

Maureen Fagan: Maureen Fagan is a Business Development Manager for Sallie Mae with over 20 years of experience working with Financial Aid and Bursars offices within New England and New York. She is an active member of the Connecticut, Maine and New Hampshire Associations of Financial Aid Administrators.  She is a graduate of the State University of New York at Oswego and resides in Reading, Massachusetts. She has been with Sallie Mae since 2003.

Kelly Savoie: Kelly Savoie has over 20 years of experience in higher education and is an Assistant Region Head for Sallie Mae.  She is an active member of a number of financial aid and admissions associations.  She graduated from Clemson University and resides in Atlanta, Georgia.

Sergio Gonzalez: Sergio Gonzalez is a Director of Business Development for Sallie Mae,  He has 25 years of experience in higher education and was a former director of financial aid.  He is actively involved in the Texas and Southwestern Associations of Financial Aid Administrators.  He is a graduate of MTI and the University of Houston.  He is fluent in Spanish and resides in Houston, Texas.
