Why The College Funding Coach?

In the chaotic landscape of applying to and paying for college, parents often find themselves engulfed in a whirlwind of decisions and uncertainties. With three kids in college at the same time (triplets!) and my youngest child headed to college next year, I know what it feels like to feel lost, confused, or overwhelmed on this journey.

I understand the trials and tribulations that families encounter—from organizing college tours and navigating the Common App to crafting countless essays and grappling with the complexities of financial aid forms and appeals. I also understand that all throughout this process, you attempt to keep the most important questions at bay. Namely,

1) How much is this going to cost?
2) How am I going to pay for it?

It’s crucial, however, that you confront the financial piece of college as soon as possible. My experience with the college journey has driven me to become a dedicated resource for other families going through the same ordeal.

With expertise and empathy, I intend to help parents sidestep common pitfalls, make informed decisions, and pave the way for their children’s success, without ruining their retirement and other financial goals.

A Little More About Lisa

Background:  

Lisa is passionate about helping others find protection, stability, health, and healing – financially, physically, and emotionally. 

She brings over 15 years of experience in the financial services industry, working in various roles, including business development and strategy, sales and marketing, key account management, project management, and operations management. 

She is currently the Director of Business Development with Lighthouse Planning in Brentwood, TN. 

Always looking to grow, Lisa is now focused on getting her Series 7 and 66 so that she can help people with the all-encompassing experience of financial planning in the future. 

Personal: Lisa was born in New Jersey. She lived and went to school throughout the Tri-State area before moving to Nashville, TN, in 1997.  

She comes from a loving and tight-knit Italian family, so she likes to split her time between the Northeast and Nashville, where she gets the best of both worlds: the beach, skiing, Boston and NYC, and the music and sports of Nashville. 

Lisa can be found spending her free time with family and friends first and foremost or on a hiking trail with her dogs. She loves reading, photography and being part of a community.  

Community Involvement:  Lisa is a certified Adult Chair Coach and Coach U intensive graduate. 

She volunteers regularly with different organizations in and around Nashville and is always looking for a new avenue to share her love for helping others. 

Lisa previously served on the Board of Directors for Every Girl Counts, a nonprofit organization in Franklin, Tennessee. They help educate high school girls in Kenya so they can work and change the trajectory of their community and country in the long term. 

Accomplishments: Created and runs two successful businesses, while being a single Mom and raising four thriving humans that she is extremely proud of.
